Quality Assurance

An effective Quality Assurance protocol ensures that:

  • The project enjoys metrics that monitor its progress towards its goals

  • There is correlation between actual and anticipated time, deliverables, and budget

  • Quality indicators integrate well with both the project and the organization

  • Indicators are matched with observables

  • Problems are addressed as they arise

The multiplicity of established quality assurance protocols (six-sigma, ISO 9001:2000, TQM, etc.) imply that none can be considered a complete solution to all circumstances. Significantly, these protocols differ from their peers in very fundamental ways (apparently there are few universal truths in quality assurance).
